Clarena Tobon is an experienced public speaker, Nonprofit leader, and passionate field advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an initiative dedicated to spreading suicide prevention and awareness throughout communities. Recognized for her impactful contributions, Clarena has become a prominent figure in the field of mental health. Her commitment extends beyond advocacy, as she played a pivotal role in the documentary "Family Journeys: Reclaiming Life after Loss," showcasing her dedication to fostering resilience and reclaiming life in the aftermath of tragedy. A proud mother of three, Clarena Tobon continues to make a lasting impact in both professional and community spheres.

Lisa Novak is the Owner/Founder of LMNHR, a Fractional HR Leadership and Advisory firm serving the national SMB market, headquartered in Austin, TX. She provides leadership guidance and program development that elevates culture, drives growth, and increases revenue performance for multiple small businesses, primarily in the tech space.
Lisa has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources leadership, helping to build companies as they ramp up for significant growth or organizational change. She’s been responsible for the corporate strategy for acquiring, developing, and retaining talent, providing leadership development, curating effective compensation and benefits programs, driving DEIB, and helping to build positive, high performing cultures. Prior to starting LMNHR, Lisa served on the executive teams for a number of organizations leading HR and Employee Experience for companies including data.world,
RenewData, SigmaTel, and Brooktree through rapid growth, M&A activity, and turnaround situations. Lisa lives with her husband Shawn in Austin, and enjoys time away at their country home, and their University of Texas football season tickets. Nicole LeFave, Attorney with Littler Law Firm
Nicole LeFave is a Shareholder at Littler Mendelson, P.C. in Austin, Texas. She concentrates her practice on the Fair Labor Standards Act and wage and hour class and collective action defense and advising employers on all aspects of wage and hour compliance. Nicole also defends employers on a variety of wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and corporate whistleblower matters and advises on a broad range of employment matters, from hiring through termination.

More recently Rick has facilitated a number of strategic and leadership development programs for a variety of clients, including the City of Denton, Wingstop Restaurants, the City of Cedar Hill, the Town of Addison, Landmark Management Group, DeKalb Office, the City of Richardson, the City of Georgetown, Dallas HR, and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. His inclusive and highly interactive style has earned him high praise from his clients and conference attendees. Rick earned degrees in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University in 1985. After college, he taught Economics and Accounting in the Fiji Islands as a Peace Corps volunteer. His client list also includes GM, Chrysler, Nortel, Picker, Del Monte Foods, Steelcase, Texas Health Systems, and Lloyds of London.

She represents employers at all stages of litigation and routinely advises human resources professionals on a broad range of HR and compliance workplace concerns, including leave and accommodation, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. As part of her practice, she also conducts internal workplace investigations for private and public employers, including higher ed institutions. Outside of work, you can find her traveling or spending time with her husband, 4-year old daughter, and pets.
Emily Linn assists employers with a variety of labor and employment law issues. She has experience representing clients in both administrative and litigation matters involving disputes brought under various federal and state laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (Title VII), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act (TCHRA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Emily’s practice also includes advising clients on various employment matters including discipline, separations and reductions in force, leave and accommodation issues under the ADA and FMLA, religious accommodation under Title VII, contingent worker and independent contractor classifications, federal and state child labor laws and workplace safety concerns. Emily has experience reviewing policies, handbooks, and providing management and employee training. Emily also regularly conducts internal workplace investigations for higher education institutions and private employers related to allegations of employee misconduct, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation. Prior to joining Littler, Emily was an attorney at a regional law firm in Austin, Texas, where she represented and counseled public entities on routine employment matters and government-specific issues, including immunity and responding to open record requests and subpoenas for client documentation. While in law school, Emily was an authorities editor on the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and interned in the office of the general counsel of a federally owned electric utility corporation.
Joe has more than 25 years of experience working in the industry and has been a part of the Calao Wealth Management Group at UBS since 2009. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Speech Communications. Joe specializes in retirement planning for individuals and corporations. He helps corporations develop, administers retirement plans for businesses and their employees, serves as a fiduciary on retirement plans, helps owners integrate their personal, financial and business goals, as well as help them understand how to transition their businesses.
